That would be a "Middle Finger" Salute to Steve Gattis and those responsible for putting that Mussolini Wannabee in charge as President {Dictator} for Life of the Vietnam Security Police Association.
While there are many good people in position of power at the VSPA, Gattis has been given the ultimate power to shut down those he has issues or disagrees with...and he has surround himself with Toadies, in underling positions as well...Garcia, Poss, and others, while running off the true founders and backbone of the association, like Langley, Morris, Savage, and others...all in his perverted efforts to maintain power and the purse strings of the group. I'd love to see the Books and what some of the crooks have been doing in the name of "We Take Care of Our Own" ... as in "Taking Care of Our Own Pockets and Power" ...that however will never happen, their bank accounts and power base are as selectively secret as the Nazi SS.
A bit of personal History with VSPA...
Sometime back in 1998 or 99 I was sitting at the computer at work...the Internet and our actions with Health Department relationships on same were new at the time. Over lunch I typed "Security Police in Vietnam" and one of the "hits" that came back were in relation to the Vietnam Security Police Association...after some e-mail with Don Poss, one of the Web Site Chiefs, I joined for $15 and over the next couple of years was pleased to find several guys, including my Nha Trang 14th SPS Buddy Harry Bevan, who at the time {1999} was a Philly Cop/Dog Handler at the Philadelphia International Airport ... over the next several years I was to find more than a handful of guys I served with at Dover, and Nha Trang...and made many new friends, although I didn't serve with, we had that common bond of not giving a shit Sky Cops who served in Vietnam. I also hooked up with a guy from my tiny hometown of Scott, Ohio, Bill Marshall, although we didn't know each other, our families, through his mom's and my Grandmother's friendship had been bonded together decades before.
I attended the 2002 National Reunion in Dayton, then stopped by the one in Vegas a couple years later, and again a full time at the Dayton Reunion in 2011. By 2000 I had met and re~friended my old NCOIC of Law Enforcement at Nha Trang, Phil Lange....I had given Phil some moments of angst at Nha Trang, but we became close friends upon hooking up thanks to the VSPA...and although I had no intention of becoming a "Life Member" of VSPA, it was his dying wish, before he passed in 2003 that he buy me a Life Time Membership to that group, as well as sending me his "stuff"...Flags, SP Badges, Patches, from our days in Vietnam together...What could I say? I became a life member and Phil passed away early in 2003....another friend lost to Cancer and likely Agent Orange....
There were few bumps in the road over the first decade...the Bulletin Board became a Hot Bed of Political Mud Slinging...and I can say, with reservations, I was among those tossing the most dirt...I never could or never will understand "Liberal Veterans" ...and usually avoid them at all costs. Well VSPA from leadership on down is now loaded with them...from Gatiss, Garcia, and Company, down to their Protected misfits, like Super Atheist Kenny DePussy{sic}, and Big Chief of the Redskin Nation, Pat "Hawk" Dunne...a couple that wear their hate for this Country and it's Conservative Patriots, on their sleeves. That has been the issues of late, the VSPA BB has been pretty dead, clown like these, especially DeRussy, have been allowed to spread their hate for all things "Godly" all over the board, while anybody that dares to challenge them, like me, Big Sam Lewis, and others have been threatened with Banishment from the Dying Pages....and now the Ban Hammer has finally Dropped...
Back Later with that Story>>>

Video Wrap Up Celina Tornado
One more nice day before the Artic Cold front moves through tonight....one more lawn to mow, mine, and then I'll worry about getting the Snow Blower ready for the coming season. Have not had to use it more than a handful of times the past two Winters, hopefully it will get little use again, but you never know.Meanwhile the east and NE side of Celina is still a mess from Sunday's Tornado Outbreak...here is a video {about 15 minutes} of the action and reports from Sunday Afternoon...

That's it for today, time for some lawn mowing...

Celina {Ohio} Tornado Updates/ Videos
The Damage from Sunday's {November 5, 2017} triple Tornado Outbreak in Mercer County and Celina is becoming more clear as the days pass....as far as Tornado Damage is concerned, ours is minor compared to large storms...it{the Celina hit} was however, as I mentioned yesterday, pretty amazing the path it took...almost exactly the same as the one that hit back in 2012...
Our Eastview Park/Montgomery Field Baseball Diamond, which is used by the High School, Wright State Lake, and the Celina Mariners, just received a $200,000 upgrade to the turf field ... completed just 10 days before the Tornado...while the new turf may have survived{yet to be confirmed}, the visitor's dugout, snack bar, and press box, along with the home plate stands were pretty much totaled:
I have coached and umpired all levels at this field, well over 200 games in total, and to see this causes reflections on some of the games I have done, in both the dugout and behind the plate:
Celina Baseball Field Tornado
In addition to the damage there, the Havemann and Grand Lake Roads businesses, much like 2012 received plenty of damage....including the newly opened Sports Bar/Restaurant..."C~Town Wings" which just relocated from downtown this summer.
Havemann Road Tornado Damage
It probably won't be back to "normal" for a few weeks, but Celina, unlike most "Liberal/Shithole" Cities, won't be crying for Uncle Sam to rescue it, or blaming Bush or Trump for the damage...

Tornadoes Tornado....Celina, Ohio
A quick trip to SE Wisconsin for an early Thanksgiving with Patricia's side of the family...we go early to avoid the snow that used to be up that way in late November...of course with the Fake Man Made Global Warming, that is no longer the case. For you nitwit leftists, let's get one thing straight, Climate Change is real, "Man~Made" Climate Change is pure BS...man has not the power of affect climate change at all...pollution? Yes, Climate Change? NO! It is as natural as anything else in this life...but back to the subject at hand.
Sunny and nice on Friday, coolish, and wet, windy, on Saturday at Oconomowoc....so not much photo taking...however I did get one of a nice Hornet's Nest outside Bev's Condo along the bike path....otherwise Fish Fry on Friday, early Saturday Thanksgiving Feast, and back to Celina on Sunday....
Wet as well on the way home, after some heavy Wisconsin Fog. As we stopped for fuel and
coffee at the half way point near Plymouth, Indiana, along US 30, I get a phone call from youngest son Hal, telling me there were Tornado Warnings at home, and one was on the ground heading for Celina...I called my 93 year old mom, who still lives alone at home, and here she was sitting in the interior bathroom at her place, waiting out the storm...the rest of the family was out and about. Hal and a caregiver of Anissa's kept up updated on the status, and sister Marty called as well....
The Tornado did indeed touchdown in Celina, at the exact same location as a few years back...east side, at Eastview Park, along the Wal Mart Strip...8 injured, new Sports Bar damaged, Dollar General destroyed and some heavy structural damage at the old Wal Mart Plaza, across the street from the newer one...also Crown Equipment {old Huffy Bike Plant} received heavy damage...
Good news, no one was seriously injured, and we on the west side received no damage what so ever....we lucked out again. Power was out for a few hours, but came back on, at least on the west side, as darkness settled in...
Fast moving, quick and dangerous weekend, but we survived....
Photos[Hornet's Nest is mine, rest from WHIO TV Dayton...Crown{Old Huffy} Plant, and Dollar General Store is totaled...

Getting Ready for the Long Cold Spell
November is here.....and that means, for all basic purposes, the warm weather is finished...did get up to 64 today, but that will likely be the warmest we will see {maybe a stray day or so not withstanding} until February or March....I no longer enjoy cold, but then again, I hate the heat and humidity of mid Summer as well....
The Photo is from 20 years ago, I snapped it off the end of the Key West Pier off Duval Street, the famous Key West Sunset in all it's Glory...

High School Officials on the Hot Seat/Beating a Dead Horse? Perhaps....but
I've spent way to much time on this topic, and although my suspension will never be lifted {since I've already elected to retire} ....the legal process continues with more hearings in several cases slated for this week...
I continue this campaign against the "King Makers" and "Bean Counters" in charge of the OHSAA and other state's athletic associations....it appears they have been taken over by left wing, politically correct, gutless, bureaucrats, like Beau Rugg in Ohio, and his ilk elsewhere.
Quick to suspend any official who dares disagree with the Diversity Driven Agenda or to voice his opinions that they disagree with. It matters not if those opinions are on social media, and not sports or officiating related. Meanwhile they continue protecting ass kissers and minorities that they coddle and hand out favors to, even when those players, coaches, and officials, are as weak in job performance, mind, and spirit, as they themselves are.
Here are more examples of the Shit Storm going on, not only here in Ohio, but around the country...
The Officials "Hot Seat"
Meanwhile in New Jersey another legal step proceeds
New Jersey Officials take a Walk
and in North Carolina....even a "protected" official gets into the "I Hate America and it's Veterans" act:

Where will this end? I fear that those officials that stand for country, pride, and free speech{while off the field} will be the losers, while the malcontents, and Bean Counters, will eventually figure out that they are the guilty parties and the Student Athletes are the real losers in all of this, when{in a time not far away} the game will have NOBODY to officiate.
Thanks Beau, Thanks, "Doctor" Denny, thanks Dan Ross, and the rest of the bloated BureaRats running and ruining High School and youth sports around the country.

The Drums Grow Louder....Sports Officials Fighting Back.
It appears than more officials/umpires are getting sick and tired of the BS being handed down by the various State Athletic Associations....if the Bean Counters think things are bad now, in terms of officials getting the Hell out of High School Sports Officiating, let them keep up with their Heavy Handed BS and watch the numbers hit "Critical Mass"
Football Officials Walk Off after Protest
With numbers of officials at all sports at the High School and lower levels and now with the Political Correct Bean Counters in charge of the State Associations and trying to run officials lives not only on, but also off the playing fields and courts, things are only going to get worse for the OHSAA and other State Associations.
Last year when our crew was first informed that we were to do "nothing" to any protesting Little Bastards that disrespected the Flag on National Anthem...we three Vietnam Veterans on the Crew were a bit pissed, but decided between ourselves that regardless...we would not do anything as ordered against them for their disrespect....however, we also decided that in all likelihood that they would eventually be served with a couple of "Unsportsmanlike Conduct" penalty flags, sometime during the contest...which would result in an ejection and suspension....well we didn't have to worry, the kids in our area are not the type to knee for the Anthem or Flag, so it never became an issue with us.
Now, there are more than a few gutless officials that don't have the stones to stand up and be counted...but the majority of the ones I know and work with are getting sick and tired of the BS being shoved down their throats by the OHSAA, and it appears others throughout the nation are feeling likewise.
That in itself is a Good Thing

{More} Corrupton and Selective Enforcement from the OHSAA
For all that read or have read this blog over the past month, there can be little doubt of my disdain and total dislike for the Bean Counters and those in charge, without accountability, at the Ohio High School Athletic Association....
Am I obsessed? Hardly, but if they thought I was just some low educated stiff that would accept their totally arbitrary and unjust "suspension" they of course don't know me or my history of fighting "big shots"...whether it was in the Air Force, my radio bropadcasting days, or my years in Public/Environmental Health work, fighting the honchos at the Ohio EPA or state Health Department...I have done no backing down...and at 68 1/2 years on this planet, I am not about to start now. Sure I will retire from all officiating, for the most part, but I will not be silent on the corruption and crapola dished out by the likes of Beau Rugg, Dan Ross, and other "Bean Counters" and self appointed "Power Rangers" at the OHSAA.
Here is a Letter to the Editor comment posted from another source yesterday...I believe the author is spot on in his assessment:
OHSAA Officials needed
This article appeared in a early bird patter report. The OHSAA has become a point of contention with many whom are close to the organization. From the ou...tside, it appears that the state official’s association has become a fiefdom of cronies and minimally effective leaders in their supposed areas of expertise. Losing officials has been explained as a changing of the guard (age, etc.), however, there our two sides to every story. Kangaroo Courts are not an unbiased venue where sound judgments have been found to prevail. However, it now appears that high school officials are not judged on their work on the field of play but also on their social media point of view and political status. The OHSAA has a dwindling number of officials and have exacerbated the condition by using social media and political status to measure and to drive otherwise competent officials from the game a thwarting young officials wanting to enter the avocation. Building your hierarchy of fundamental foolishness and taking positions against civil liberties and first amendment rights does not bode well for retention and or growth of an organization looking people. A long hard look into your inner Sanctum looks to be in order and
would do the OHSAA a bit of good.
Bingo!
And it's not only officiating....
The corruption and heavy handed dealings of the OHSAA are not only in regards to officiating, but in how punishment is handed out, or in this case not handed out....which led to one school getting a break it didn't deserve while another gets the short end of the stick....yes, the school getting the hose job by the bean counters is my own Alma Mater ... but regardless, I would have stuck up for any school getting screwed by Ross and Company: Thus this article from today:
OHSAA and it's Selective Enforcement
It doesn't or should not matter that the "prize" for getting that 8th spot would/will be a date with top ranked Trotwood~Madison, the result is one school that plays by the rules{Celina} gets screwed, while the other, a team using ineligible player{s} gets a basically free pass, for a stiff fine, of course.
Corrupt is the first name of the Ohio High School Athletic Association:

More OHSAA More Fall Road Trips More Covered Bridges
Head Cold Hangs on Rain on the Way...
Week has been pretty slow, but I did get my 2nd appeal of my Officiating License denied by OHSAA...which came as NO surprise, and actually I would have been disappointed and shocked if they had overturned it...one thing about the group of bloated losers at the Ivory Towers of the Ohio High School Athletic Association, they are consistent in denying any mistakes or wrong doings on their part...even if it slaps them upside their swollen heads of importance...
They wanted me to come down next week {November 1st} for a third and final{futile} appeal before the Board of Directors...I declined. Why waste a day and gas money to travel to Columbus, for what? The next date won't be until January 11th...I told them I might make it that time...doubtful, but in the meantime the cases against OHSAA continue. Jon Everhart's deposition along with the head henchman, Beau Rugg's come today in Everhart's case...although different from mine{his suspension was for alleged violations while actually officiating} will still make the rat's squirm in their seats....I will wait for that outcome before moving forward with mine.
As I have said, it really no longer matters, regardless of final outcome, I am happy with my decision to retire, and the longer I am away the more comfortable I feel....but I still would like to stick it to those clowns and the bastard{s} who collected private BS and fed it to them....they better hope I don't find out for sure 100% who they are...just sayin' It won't be pretty...not much worse than a pissed off old Vietnam Veteran with time on his hands...
Between the Head Cold and the Cooler weather, I decided not to ride the TW, but still got into the Nitro and drove over to Logan County yesterday {110 miles total back and forth and around the back roads} to find the one classic covered bridge I had not came across in this area....
The McColly Covered Bridge...
Located between Jackson Center in Shelby County and Bellfontaine in Logan County sits the McColly Bridge. Built in 1876 for just over $3 thousand , it was completely redone in 2000 for a cost of over $600,000...now that is inflation....!!
McColly Bridge History
With the Sunshine out in full and despite feeling somewhat lousy thanks to my annual fall cold{at least this isn't Bronchitis, so far} The weather was pretty good for a middle fall "Road Trip" .
I got plenty of photos of the bridge from various angles and some of a nearby long abandoned farm house...enjoy!

Pre Indian/Indian Summer
You can't really call the past couple of weeks "Indian Summer" because we really have had no below average or even a freeze or hard frost to speak of{that may come to and end before the coming weekend is finished} ... Regardless of what you call it, the past week or more has been great for getting out, riding the TW, or just sitting out back watching the dogs and cats, downing a craft beer or two and smoking a good cigar....
Friday 10/20/17
Riding the Lakes....
Saturday 10/21/17
Visiting the "K~Men"...
On Saturday morning I was up early and on my way south...a rare visit solo to Hal and his family...usually Patricia is front and center for those visits, but one of us had to stay home with Anissa, and I had not seen the older Grandson Kasyn play soccer, and this was the final game of the year....
Sunday 10/22/17
Last of the Good Weather....
After Anissa and I took our weekly visit to mom's while Patricia was in church, I pretty much shut down for much of the day...sat outside {still no NFL games for me, and there won't be anytime soon, if ever} with the dogs, cats, and about 5pm I decided to sip a beer or two and partake in one of my favorite cigars, a Drew Estate Irish Hops....that pretty much closed out the weekend....and the breeze that had been kicked up by the time the sun began to set, foretold the end of the above normal and dry conditions we had been enjoying for the past couple of weeks.
Today...
Still warm, but some scattered rain has arrived, although despite the predictions of a half inch of wet...most of the rain seems to be on all sides of the lake area, north, south west, and east...so perhaps we wont' get that much...but cooler weather is in store regardless....so as I sit here typing and with the World Series at hand...Dodgers vs Astros? Doesn't really ring a bell in my mind, but will root, somewhat, for Houston, only because they have never won a WS Ring....in either league....
Meanwhile I am enjoying Game #7 of the 1952 World Series between the Yankees and Brooklyn Dodgers....back before I became a Yank and Mickey Mantle fan a few years later ... a long time ago, when baseball was played by men and that cancer called "Free Agency" did not exist....here is the link to the 1952 Classic:Game 7 1952 World Series
enjoy if you have time....pure escape for us old farts....Duke, The Mick, The Chief, Casey, Yogi, Pee Wee, and Jackie Robinson. and of course Mel Allen and Red Barber doing the play~by~play....what a great time in baseball and America it was.

State Athletic Ass~ociations {Ohio and Indiana} Corrupt as they come...Burning Bridges
Burning Bridges, one step at a time...
As I have posted many times before, I have no problem, and actually enjoy stirring the pot when it comes to issues with employers or organizations that I believe are corrupt....and have always spoke my mind, and enjoy poking groups and individuals in their eyes if I feel they deserve it...
After my "suspension/retirement" from officiating contests under the direction of the Ohio High School Athletic Association, I was perfectly content to retire and fight the good fight to win my appeal and retire anyway. I had made up my mind, regardless of the outcome I was done with sport officiating under it's rules...perhaps I would do some summer work and fall baseball, but other than that I was finished, it had been a good run, and I was not about to let the bloated buzzard in charge of officiating at OHSAA and his co~whores have the last say, I would go out on my own terms.
However,
As it turns out our neighbors in Hoosier View Indiana, it appears, have a equally corrupt and gutless list of Bean Counters in charge at the IHSAA, and this outrage came across the wires this past Friday:
Hoosier Veteran "Suspended" by IHSAA
While Jim's suspension was for a different reason than mine...his for refusing to officiate after some malcontent little bitch decided to show her ass protesting the flag{I can only guess her skin tone and lack of parental involvement in her life} during a contest sanctioned by the Indiana High School Athletic Association...while mine was issues having nothing to do with a OHSAA contest{just social and political commentary on this blog and other private social media sites}. The bottom line is, the two athletic associations choose to ignore "students' who are supposed to follow rules and protocol, but instead made a show out of hating America and it's veterans, by disrespecting the flag and country, in which they are granted those rights to make asses out of themselves.
So, here I am on another "Rant" however, you only need to dig back a few posts to come up to speed on the issues involved...meanwhile here are the e-mails of those in charge of this and other outrages against officials, especially Veterans who are officials. I suspect and am pretty sure have never served in any branch of the Military[they are welcome to comment and prove me wrong, but they won't}....
This is not about only Veterans who are working a sideline gig as officials for low pay, and little respect, it's about the average umpire and sports official who pays, via their dues, the salaries that these clowns make their large wages working, make that sitting, in their state funded, Ivory Towers:
IHSAA Bean Counters:
Director Bobby Cox
bcox@Ihsaa.org
Volleyball Head Cheese
Kerrie Schludecker
kschludecker@Ihsaa,org
and the head weasel in charge of Jim's season long suspension{this guy appears to be a real gutless turd}
Paul Loggan
ploggan@msdwt.k12.in.us
meanwhile here in Ohio, some of those involved in their mindless power plays:
Assistant Commissioner in charge of Officiating
Beau Rugg
brugg@ohsaa.org
his assistant
Ben Ferree
bferree@ohsaa.org
and the Head Cheese, the Commish of the OHSAA
Dan Ross
dross@ohsaa.org
and one guy who is the main culprit when it comes to the Good Ol' Boy Network/System
"Doctor' Denny Morris[not sure just what the Hell he is doctor of, except at Dr. of BS...
dmorris005@woh.rr.com
So when in Ohio or the Hoosier state and watching a school contest in just about any sport, these are the type of people who are responsible for the officials, good and bad, that you see working the games...and in charge of dealing out favors and punishment, all depending if you kiss their backsides, or dare to say or do something they choose not to agree with or like:
More on this, coming this week...
back later>>>>:>

Kerrie Schludecker
kschludecker@Ihsaa,org
and the head weasel in charge of Jim's season long suspension{this guy appears to be a real gutless turd}
Paul Loggan
ploggan@msdwt.k12.in.us
meanwhile here in Ohio, some of those involved in their mindless power plays:
