Spring in Ohio is always interesting and frankly, weather~wise it usually stinks! This year being no exception...after a brutally cold and snow filled winter, Spring is crawling along slowly, giving us plenty to bitch about. Yesterday was about 50 and windy when Garry and I arrived in Blue Creek Township in Paulding County to umpire a league game between ranked Sherwood Fairview and the host Wayne Trace Raiders....wind blown like it always is in the Scott/Haviland area....2+ hours later the 14-1 Fairview win in the wind was over and we headed home....
Next week one of my scheduled contests is at the Class A Fort Wayne Tin Caps park in Indiana...Wayne Trace along with Antwerp, both out of Ohio will be the opponents....I worked those two teams last weekend, and it was a well fought 6-4win for WT at home....
The City Park at Fort Wayne is just a few years ago as when the Fort Wayne Wizards moved into the new park, they took the name Tin Caps....it is a beautiful facility. Last week there was a humorous "Rain Delay" at the park:

Fort Wayne got clobbered, so it seems, this might have been the biggest entertainment of the evening.
I'll be there for a 4:30 start next Thursday, weather permitting....
back later
AND A LOOK AT THE PAST! ..... Sports, Dual Sport Motorcycle Riding, Politics, Nostalgia, Music, Photography, and a Healthy Dose of BS....
