Beautiful day yesterday, and as I headed north in the sunshine towards my game in Convoy, the cell phone in my pocket began to ring..."Hello I say" and on the other end a younger sounding man begins to describe how he found my name and number and thought I might have his and his wife's dog...."Bingo" I tell him, the little Shitzu Tzu (not a Pekingese mix) that was in our back yard was his...the Double 00 Ohio State Jersey clinched the deal. Told him Patricia was home and he could pick "Cozy"(the dogs name) up at our place.
Paricia said it was a happy reunion and Cozy was in his car and on his way home...just 3 blocks away....so being so close, how did he finally find Cozy? With the help of my nieces husband Cory at their work place, and of the above photo, they saw on my Facebook page....Great end, I was hopeful the owners would be found if they really wanted their dog, and it worked out. Although I admit we will miss the little guy. He is an active dog to say the least.
The game went 2 1/2 hours with the home team Crestview squad defeating Lincolnview 13-4...tonight I am at Spencerville for a 6pm start....
For now, I'm headed to the funeral of my neighbor when we lived in Montezuma during my High School years, and the father of two of my best friends...Bob Jones Sr, passed away over the weekend....just 10 days shy of his 86th Birthday...
