"Labor Day"? More like Obama's celebration of non-labor. With the reported unemployment at 9.6% and actual unemployment closer to 20%...this depression era America, unlike the Great Depression of the 1930s, is being kept afloat by personal Credit Cards and 99 weeks of unemployment benefits..."99 Weeks", why the Hell would anybody bother looking for work with nearly 2 years of coverage? Especially if the job market is not offering the kind of employment or pay you are used to?
The "Obummer" is without a doubt the worst President this country has ever seen...topping Carter, LBJ, Woody Wilson, and FDR, as the top 5 assholes in the White House this Republic has ever seen...yep, that's my personal bottom 5...don't like em', get your own blog, and make your own list. They are a handful of corrupt losers....that both Bush 2 and Clinton pale in comparison to..
On my morning walk around Celina and Grand Lake Drive, I was greeted by a few Squirrels, birds, some Sea Gulls, but not much else...the local trash haulers were out, as were a handful of Celina Bulldog cross country guys running the barricaded streets of downtown...that was about it. I covered my usual walk route in about 50 minutes...clouds and some rain to the north, while the sun was shining to the east and south. No rain in the forecast here until tomorrow, when the temperatures are supposed to climb back into the upper 80s. For now we will enjoy this respite from the heat and humidity, which has been around since Saturday, when Sam, I, and a couple of other guys officiated the JV contest at Versailles, which saw the home team defeat MAC rival Coldwater 6-0...lots of offensive firepower, but not many points. The defenses were bending buy not breaking...tomorrow I have a Junior High game at Wayne Trace.
I did get a call this morning from a crew chief up north, asking if I would sub as a Back Judge in a Toledo City game on September 17th...the Back Judge is a position that I have done before...a position you don't use in JH and JV games. I said yes, and will drive up with one of the other crew members, Terry, who lives in Delphos, and is a member of our association. That will be a long weekend...Friday night, getting home late, then a 10am JV game at Spencerville on Saturday, followed by a Recreational League double header on Sunday here in Celina....a real workout for the aging body....
After our game Saturday, I did the 30 minute walk along West Bank Road to Bella's, the Italian eatery that overlooks the lake...there I met up with "Wulfie", Kent, my old buddy from the Red Door days Randy Winklejohn, and a dozen others for a reunion of sorts, from our Lake Front Racquet Club days in the 1990s and early part of this new century...most of the group were the "Wally Ball"(that being Vollyball played on a Racquet Court) crowd that met up on the weekends and Sunday afternoons, to drink beer and abuse our bodies on the courts below the upstairs bar at the club. We sat around for 3 or 4 hours and had a excellent time reviewing our lives since the club was flooded by the July 4, 2003, rains..which led to major changes and it's eventual closing a couple of years ago. We plan on getting together again the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and hopefully more of the old gang will be able to attend.....
That's enough computer for today...the weather is good, and I need to get outside...back later>>>>
Photos-Kenyan or not, he is a Village Idiot...A few hundred Sea Gulls, doing their business along Grand Lake this morning...and the old Tennis and Racquet Ball crowd gathered at Bella's on Saturday Afternoon.
AND A LOOK AT THE PAST! ..... Sports, Dual Sport Motorcycle Riding, Politics, Nostalgia, Music, Photography, and a Healthy Dose of BS....

(I also play in a country band plus the Harmonica John Show.)I still have 2 stories I need to write when I get back to work on Monday, plus my column! I have a column called "Penny for Your Thoughts" Who am I?
