Sorting thru the Photographs.....Hal and Lisa's Wedding 2/5/11

We got back around 4pm yesterday from Fayettesville, West Virginia....the wedding of youngest son Hal and his bride Lisa went off without a hitch in the mountains of the Central part of the state, some 40 miles east of Charleston.   I guess there was one small "glitch"...the snow that they had hoped to background the photos of the weekend, was not to be....the mountain snows had melted, and we had temperatures in the 50s....the boys however did get down to Ghent and had our day at the ski hills of Winter Palace....despite fog and some slippery conditions, we all had a shot at tubing and/or snow boarding.  Being only a short stay, none of the guys was willing to spend the $67 lift ticket price to ski for 2 hours or so...but cigars, a couple of beers, and a meal after, at Geno's back in Fayettesville, was made to order.  We all made it back safe, sober, and sound before the 5:30 ceremony on Saturday Afternoon....Some photos and the story of the weekend in the hills we be covered over the next few days....I can say without a doubt, it was a great time, just 20 family members in two lodge houses worked well, the Wedding and the Meals rotated between the 2 houses and we had an outstanding time....the reception will be held in the Dayton area on February 19th....meanwhile I have some catch-up work to do...starting with driving to Sidney to drop off the rental Ford Edge....turns out that Enterprise gives me a brand new 2011 with only 700 miles on it....a little paranoid not wanting to get any scratches or dents in the new vehicle, which was loaded with every bell and whistle one could want for the 900 or so miles I put on it over the 2 days....

Off for now, back with more later>>>>>

Its a shame you guys were that close and we werent able to come up for an hr or so. Glad everything worked out well for all of you. Looks like it was a beautiful ceremony . We wish them both well.

We did survive the weekend at VT's Cassell though. Two down and two to go, weekends at Cassell that is. Im afraid the Hokies are once again destined for another NIT bid and more cleanings for the crew and I in March. The Cassell Manager ,my bud, was Livid because of the loss to BC Saturday. He wants the season to be over and done just like me.
