One of the best things about New Year's Day these days is....no hang overs. I gave up the New Year's Eve party style many years ago...I did manage to stay awake until 12 Midnight then headed off to bed.
Off to northern Indiana this morning to watch football and eat food, drink a couple of beers with my friend Rick...our usual New Years Day tradition for the past 20+ years....

Happy New Year, Pat! We've adopted similar lives in our respective old ages... I don't do the party thing any longer, either. Sometimes I miss the parties, most times I don't. I sure don't miss the hangovers, tho!
I had ONE wine cooler. The wife had three. We stayed awake until our "normal" evening-shift one-thirty bed time.
We both got up Tuesday morn---yeah, damn the luck---the world was STILL here...!
We popped the top on our second bottle of bubbly as the ball dropped on TV. The rest is history. It was a great time. Hope your '08 is the best brother.
