Basketball and Gun Show Weekend

After spending Thursday at my sister's home for Thanksgiving, the weekend activities turned to basketball for Friday and Saturday, and my legs feel it! Went to Lima Central Catholic on Friday evening along with Sam and another official we covered their annual Alumni Games. These involve the Girls Varsity team against a good of Alumni women for teams past....followed by the JV Boys vs the "older" Alumni men(classes from 1957-96), and topped off by the current Varsity Boys against the more recent grads from 97-2008. Each game involved two 8 minute quarters, the current crop emerged winners in all 3 contests, but it was all for entertainment and to help show case this years teams. LCC is always a competitive school in basketball...this years varsity crews will be no exception.

Sam headed back to LCC for a Varsity 3 team scrimmage Saturday morning, with Wayne Trace and Patrick Henry participating, meanwhile I make the 40 minute drive to Waynesfield for a W-Goshen JV Scrimmage against Wapakoneta....by the time I was finished at Noon, my 59 year old legs could feel it. One more scrimmage comes along Tuesday at Spencerville, then Saturday the regular season begins at St. Henry as I open with a girls JV game at Noon before the Varsity begins. After many years of Baseball both as a coach and umpire, and the past handful of seasons doing football....this will be my first season venturing into the world of "Roundball" other than playing pickup games and watching from the stands or on the tube. We will see how it affects my mind and more importantly my body.

Fort Wayne Gun Show
Anissa is up early again this Sunday, so then, so have I. I got up about an hour ago, at 4:20AM, and am letting Patricia get some extra shuteye before heading off to church. Sam is in Findlay, while Hal headed back to Dayton on Saturday night after spending the early part of the Holiday weekend with us. Good news for Hal as far as grad school grades....a 4.0(all 3 classes getting an "A") in classes and doing well teaching at Fairborn High School. so he is on time to finish up his Masters in the early Summer. Sam meanwhile is poised to do well in his first quarter back at Ohio State-Lima, or so he says...A's and maybe a B. With the economy in the tank, the longer in college the better it appears, because it's going to be a struggle out in the real world.

Talked with my buddy Rick up near Auburn, Indiana, this week and there is a Gun Show at the Fort Wayne Coliseum this weekend, so with the gun grabbing liberals soon to the fox in charge of the hen house, we decided to meet in the Summit City this morning and take a look of what they are offering as far as ammo and must-have weapons. Should be a good look at what they are offering and what their fears are with Barack Hussain Obama soon to be putting on his Stalin garb and making his gun grab....which like the coming depression, you know is going to happen.

So will shower soon, and head the 55 miles northwest at about 10 this morning.....back later>>>>>>>>

Viewing the GW Bush Legacy

The day before Thanksgiving and it looks like a couple of nice ones on the way weather wise. 40 and sun today, 45 and more sunshine for turkey day. For the past 20 years or so we have either left the Wednesday before or Thanksgiving morning for Wisconsin, and spent the Holiday weekend at Patricia's folks place....This year, because of the traffic crunch, which around Chicago, sucks, we decided to go up early...and we got that done, without the travel mess, 2 weeks ago. So tomorrow we will gather with most of the family at my sister Marty and her husband Pat"s(yep another Pat...seems we can't have enough Pats or Mikes in this family). The only ones missing from this get together will be our youngest sister Kelly, down in Naples, Florida, with her husband "Mike", that Demark Chef guy, and Marty and Pat's youngest daughter Miki out in L.A....the rest, including most of the kids will be getting together for the 2008 version of Thanksgiving.

George W. Bush has 55 days left in his miserable Presidency...55 days! The sad part is, the guy replacing him is a lousy left wing loon, who appears to be in way over his head. So Barry Soetoro Obama has responded by putting in a couple dozen Clinton era retreads in his administration. Obama is being saddled with some $7.4 trillion in "additional" debt, that we can't or won't be, as a people, ever be able to be pay back. If I didn't despise him so much, I would almost feel sorry for Barack...like I said, this rookie political hack is in way, way, over his head. Have fun buddy, you are gonna need it!

Back to Bush. Here is a guy I voted for not once, but twice. In 2000 I thought he was the most Conservative of the candidates in the main stream political scene...I voted for him without reservations, and swayed in the wind, while Al Gore and his political henchman tried to steal the election in Florida. After 9/11/01 I thought "W" did an excellent job in the fight on Terrorism...sure he was going along with Congress, spending money like a drunken sailor, but we appeared safe, and W had a 90% approval rating. My support for Bush started to wain however when Bush and his cronies in the White House seemed Hell bent on opening our borders to every low life in the non-free world...Open borders for Islamics, who hated our very being. And Hell, it seemed he wanted to make Mexico and it's population our 51st state. The spending and national debt continued to mount.

Forward to 2004...the Democrats put the Vietnam Traitor, John Kerry up for President...no contest. Bush was pissing me and just about every other true conservative off, but no true right wing type, especially if you were a Vietnam Vet, was ever going to vote for this son of a bitch that cut and run after 13 weeks of his second tour...cut and run so he could come home and rip his fellow VNV with lies, lies, and more lies. John Kerry should have been tried and hanged for treason. So, here we go again...Bush was the one..although I didn't have much stomach for his "Compassionate Conservatism" any longer. The past 4 years have been, for the most part, a disaster, not only for Conservatives in particular, but the nation in general.

Bush has been pretty bad as President, but he has done some good things worth noting: (1) 2 good Supreme Court Justices (2) no terrorist attacks on the homeland since 9/11 (3) ? Hell, I really can't think of much else.

Now for the bad news: Under GW we now have amassed another $7.4 trillion in debt{do you realize that 1 trillion seconds ago it was 29,000 BC..yep, 29 thousand years before our savior Jesus Christ was born...multiply another 7.5 or so and you have 217 thousand years before Christ....just a little math quiz for you}. And it only going to get worse....1933? I don't think so...we, in the not so distant future will think that The Great Depression was the good ol' days. Other Bush items I don't particularly like, Besides "Bail Outs" and "Open Borders", we have the continuing war with the Middle East...now, don't get me wrong, I don't mind the war(s), I'd just like to see the sons a bitches won...and yes they can be won....but you actually have to fight to win, not let Islam call the shots, you know? Kill the freaking enemy, even if they are hiding in "places of worship"...after all, they are the enemy. Yep, Bush has been a disaster when his 8 years are taken in total. And it has nothing to do with the left wing loons yelling "Bush is Hitler" or "Now that we have Obama in office, the world will respect us/like us again". I could really give a crap what the Euros, Islamics, or anybody else thinks of America...we don't run their governments, and they should have no say in ours. If I had my way, we would close every damn overseas military base, and bring our troops home to protect our borders, and let the rest of the world protect their own borders.

One final thing could change my mind, a little, when it comes to being disgusted with George W. Bush...A couple of guys named Compean and Ramos. 2 border agents working the US-Mexico border. These two Hispanic agents shot an escaping Mexican drug dealer(with multiple convictions) in the ass when he was caught crossing back across the border...he survived and testified for the US in the trial of the two agents...thanks to Jack Booted thug and US Attorney Johnny Sutton...and the Bush Administration. The agents received 10 and 11 years in Federal Prison from the Government, and George Bush nor his administration never lifted a finger...179 Bush pardons later, and time running out, "W" still has not lifted a finger to free these men:

http://ramos-compean.blogspot.com/

So "W", do this one thing, pardon these two agents, Political Prisoners of the US Government, and I may look more kindly upon your sorry ass...maybe, but with the criminal/unconstitutional bail outs...even that may not be enough...but it may make you actually look like a human being, rather than no better than the Socialist assholes that are going to replace you and your corrupt buddies in 55 days!

Enough ranting...time to get ready for Thanksgiving....we will be spending it with family, Agents Ramos and Compean, won't be so lucky,

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!

Eddie Bonifas(1948-2008)

Winter has been hanging on, albeit still early for the continued cold weather we have seen...yesterday was the nice day of the past week, and probably for the next 10 days(although Thanksgiving itself looks pretty nice, partly sunny and 40) as well.

Yesterday brought one of those days and times that you always hate, but come more often when you approach my age. I'm not much for attending funerals, but sometimes at least a visit to the funeral home is something that must be done...yesterday was one such occasion. I had posted earlier this year about my 40th anniversary on being inducted in the Air Force...June 1968 was the time. My friend Ed Bonifas and I had signed up on the "Buddy System" to go into the AF...sometimes things don't always work out, because when it comes to the military, the truth and lies cannot always be separated:

So Eddie and I joined together, but really never got to serve together....even in Basic Training, although we did get to "talk" on occasion...and caught Hell from the TIs for that.

In March 1968, 5 of us, Jones, Muhlenkamp, Siler, Eddie, and me, headed up to Lima to check out our options to enlist in the military. Why enlist you might ask? Well the options were these...Head off to College, get some poor girl to marry our sorry asses, and have kids quick, head for Canada, or wait to get drafted and be out pounding the rice paddies, but only serving 2 years. All of us being of, at best, modest means, were not inclined to head off to college{that would come later for me and others, but I wasn't ready yet)...sure had nor wanted any marriage prospects at 19, and was not inclined to be totin' an M-16 in the jungles of Vietnam...Canada? You got to be kidding?...not an option! Whether the war was right or wrong didn't matter, we were not cowards, draft dodgers, or consciences objectors. So, what to do?

First stop was the Navy Recruiting Station in Lima....all 5 of us listened to the pitch about how great the Navy was going to be....Hell they would even give us our "choice" of assignments....seemed reasonable, and they were ready to sign us up RIGHT THEN, RIGHT NOW, on the spot! Before you could say, "mop that deck sucker", 3 of the crew had signed up. Not so fast....I looked at Ed, and said..."You know, we could end up on a freaking boat for 4 years, and I get sea sick...or worse yet, they could shift our asses to Vietnam as Medics for the Marine branch".

Wait a minute Mr Recruiter....Ed and I think we will wait a day or so...he tried to talk us out of waiting..."If you don't sign now, you will miss your chance to get in with these 3 guys on the "Buddy System". That's OK, we want to think about it....the others were not happy, but agreed to wait while Eddie and I headed downstairs where the Air Force Recruiters were located.

After a long(half hour) talk with the Fly Boys, then some testing...the same promises were made...Buddy System, take this test, and you'll be pretty sure to get what you want. Hell, after all, it's the Air Force, no fighting, probably no Vietnam(right!). So Eddie Allen Bonifas from Coldwater, Ohio, and Patrick Ray Houseworth from Montezuma, Ohio, signed on the dotted line....the rest was history, and much contained on the past posts on this blog.

For the next 3 months Ed and I spent every Saturday at the Recruiter in Lima, doing busy paperwork....this was said to be our pre-duty, and was required...it was total BS of course, but what did we know?

Eddie Bonifas and I became pretty inseparable between March and June of 1968...tossed down beers, double dated, and spent our Saturday afternoons in Lima, and then drank our way home...not smart or safe, but what the Hell?, we were 19 years old.

Ed was from a large family outside of Coldwater, 6 girls and 4 boys, 10 kids in all...He was somewhere in the middle...Eddie graduated from Coldwater High School, me from Celina both in 1967...I was prone to run with several Coldwater guys because dad ran the Gulf Station right across the street from the High School there...Mike Schilling, Mike Knapschafer, Eddie, and others. Plenty of beer was tossed down, and in my case at least, puked up that spring....as I remember, it was one of the best times of my early life.
We were supposed to head together to Basic Training, on June 29th....the recruiter called however and told me that I was needed early...about a week or 10 days before Ed...I went, and missed Ed and my "booze soaked going away party"...Bonifas got all the fun...I was in Amarillo, Texas, when "our" party was happening, he would follow a few days after the party. We got to see each other and visit a couple of times during our basic that July....when it was over, I went to San Antonio for Security Police training...Ed was shipped off to Lowery Field, Colorado, to Mechanic School....we didn't see each other again until 1973.

We both eventually returned to west central Ohio....Eddie Bonifas went one way, I the other...sure, we saw each other on occasion, but lived different lives, that is just the way it happens. We remained friends, but sadly, didn't see much of each other the past 35 years. We both came and went from the area, and both finally returned to live out our lives. Ed would have been 60 next month....December 18th...the same day Patricia and I celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary. Talking with his brother Doug( a former football standout at Miami of Ohio) and his younger sister Rox at the funeral home...I found out Ed was a fighter until the end....would not take Chemo or Radiation, nor even drugs for the pain. He was ready to go....Doug told me that Ed had given him the "thumbs up" about an hour before he passed....Little Eddie...a tough little SOB in life, was tough right up until the end.

Good bye Friend....may God be with your soul in your final journey.

Morons Who Vote/Jim Tressel, Used Car Salesman

Sunday Morning, sun not up yet, 17 degrees with a 9 above chill factor. Winter, after a long spell of summer, is making itself at home in west central Ohio. The election, now nearing 3 weeks over is still making news...mainly because of the list of retreads that "The Ebony Messiah" is sticking in his cabinet, and because the economy continues on a "free fall" towards a 1930s style look.

Zogby International Polling came out earlier this week, and shows what I've been saying all along...voters in general, Obama voters in particular, in vast numbers are uninformed dolts. They get what little knowledge they have of politics from the MSM, the 3 major networks, MSNBC, CNN, and the various left wing web news outlets like AP. The truth be known, I am sick of hearing about Obama, the retreads, and the elections. But one last time, lets give it a go...then I, along with the rest of you, will see what happens come January 20, 2009.

Last week on You Tube this little ditty was released showing a few Obama voters and their knowledge, or lack of same:

Now without a doubt you could pick and choose any group of voters to sound this stupid and uninformed....but Obama voters are so much more fun...seems the most they know about the election is what they have been spoon fed about Sarah Palin. The Zogby post-election poll of Obama voters seems to bear this out....John Zogby, along with Scott Rasmussen have a track record better than most when it comes to picking election results beforehand.....so I take this breakdown to heart....knowing Obama voters, just aren't very bright:

The Zogby Results:
512 Obama Voters interviewed from November 12-15, 2008:

97.1% graduated from High School----55% from College(so they picked out the "smarter, most educated" it seems).

Results from 12 questions:

57.4% could NOT correctly say which party controls congress(a 50-50 chance)

71,8% could NOT correctly say Joe Biden quit a previous campaign for President because of plagiarism of someone elses work(25% chance by just guessing)

82.6% could NOT correctly say that Barack Hussain Obama won his first election by getting opponents kicked off the ballot(25% chance without help of getting this right)
88.4% could NOT correctly say that Obama said his policies would bankrupt the coal industry, and make energy costs "Skyrocket"

and 56.1% could NOT correctly say Obama started his political career at the home of 2 former members of the anti-us radical group "The Weather Underground"
---------------------
They did better on the following questions however:

Only 13.7% failed to identify Sarah Palin as the person on which the GOP spent $150,000 on clothes

Only 6.2% failed to know that Sarah Palin's teen daughter was unwed and pregnant

However 86.9% thought that Palin said she could see Russia from her house, even though that was Tina Fey on SNL who said that.

only 2.4% got at least 11 of 12 correct and less than 1%(0.5%) got them all right
-----------------------
So next time some elite left wing snob tells you how educated and enlightened the Obama and Liberal voters are...tell them BULLSHIT!

Ohio State 42 Michigan 7

As long time Ohio State football fan, the above score would usually make my week....the rivalry with hated Michigan aka: The School Up North(as Woody Hayes called the Wolverines) was/is a focal point late in November...a couple of thing tarnished "The Game" this season.

First off, UM stinks. They got a new coach, Rich Rodriquez, but by announcing the big changes to a "spread" offense, he lost not only seniors to graduation, but many of the returning regulars who know they would not fit into that type offense...Michigan was 3-8 going into yesterday's game, and will finish with a losing season for the first time since I was in High School...1965.

The other thing that has taken the shine off the game from a local standpoint, is "The Vest"...head coach of Ohio State, Jim Tressel. After yesterday's win, JT has beaten UM 7 of 8 seasons, won the Big Ten 4 straight years, defeated Michigan 5 straight times, been to 3 National Championship games, and won 1(he and the Buckeyes did get their heads clocked by SEC teams the past 2 years however). His record from all accounts is better than even Woody amassed during his quarter century at the helm(except those 5 National Championships, top that Tressel).

The problem locally however is his treatment of Todd Boeckman, a local kid frm St. Henry. Boeckman joined the Buckeyes 6 years ago as a Grey Shirt, then a Red Shirt(meaning not playing but attending classes fo r2 years) before becoming eligible to play...he spent 2 more years on the bench, behind Heisman Trophy winner Troy Smith, before getting his chance to start last season....he led OSU to the Big Ten Title, and the NC game...he was first team all league....this year was his to start and train and tutor world class Freshman Terrell Pryor, who would take over next season. Seem Tressell had made Pryor some promises, and after the crushing loss to Southern Cal, "The Vest" tossed Todd under the bus and crowned Pryor as the king at QB....a few wins over bad teams and a ugly loss at home to Penn State, didn't change Tressell's mind. Pryor was his QB, even though he stunk up the field for most of the season...yesterday was a prime example...against a bad Michigan Defense, Pryor went 5 for 13 passing with 2 TDs and a interception...he "rushed" backwards for minus 7 yards on 8 runs. Numbers that would have gotten Boeckman booed and taken from the line-up....but not Tressel's gawd given savior, no way...The Vest is never wrong...and never is at fault, just ask him.

So Pryor stinks up the season, and the massive ego of Jim Tressell is still intact...Todd Boeckman did get in for his final curtain call yesterday...he went 3 for 3 with a Touchdown. Next up for OSU will either be the Orange Bowl or the Capitol One Bowl....Penn State goes to the Rose Bowl with the head to head tiebreaker over OSU.

So, I remain an Ohio State fan, but Jim Tressell, is nothing more than a used car salesman...and right now car sales are down. As far as Boeckman, he'll get drafted in the NFL...and hopefully he'll have a few choice words about Tressell when the bowl season is over...but don't count on that, Todd has far too much class...I coached baseball against him, my youngest son Hal, played baseball against TB, and I officiate several games in all 3 of my sports at St Henry(Todd's dad Tim is the former football coach with 3 state titles, and current Athletic Director at SH), so as I said, my view is biased. The same class shown by Todd Boeckman cannot be said for OSU's resident man in the vest. Like used cars, Jim Tressel is still selling used BS that some of us aren't buying.

Enjoy your Sunday

Airedale Allergies, Global Warming BS, Gas Prices, Hate Mail....just another day?

Got up bright and early this morning, facing the clear, cold, day. 15 degrees this morning, heading for a high of 29 by this afternoon. WOW! Must be that damn Global Warming in effect? Here we are 2/3rds through November and in west Ohio we have January weather...outstanding!

The old Airedale, Reagan is having more allergy problems, something that has plagued her all though life...who knows why? Each dog we've had for the last 35 years, almost all pure bred Airedales has had their own unique personalities and problems....Reagan has been a great family dog, not the smartest Airedale, but not the dullest crayon in the box either. Her one constant has been allergies to foods, grass, and a number of other things....making her a quite costly companion.

Today's bill $133.70, for a years supply of allergy injections, a steroid shot, and a bottle of antibiotics....we can hope Reagan, at 10 1/2, will live long enough to finish off the year of injections. Not being cold hearted, we love our dog....but she is a costly member of the family at this time.

Anyway got her out and back by 8:30 this morning.

As far as Global Warming...anybody that has read this blog for awhile knows that as a career Environmental Health worker(retired)...I have always believed in protection of the environment when feasible....I have also known that the claims of man-made Global Warming are pure left wing/socialist political bullshit. The stats now show that the past 10 years have been colder than the previous....END OF DISCUSSION ON GLOBAL WARMING...Al Gore is full of Bat Dung.

Getting Gassed!

Who would have thunk it this past summer? When gas was running at $4.15 to $4.25 an gallon we seemed to be on the verge of $5 gallons of gas, and $200 barrels of oil....not so fast Lone Ranger....now we have $48 barrel oil and gas @....DRUM ROLL PLEASE! sets at $1.69 in Celina...less than that in Lima and Dayton. Who would have thunk it indeed?

Of course the fly in the ointment is....we are now looking at DEFLATION! Not good for the economy in the long run...but when your job(if you have one) requires lots of travel...$1.69 gas is pretty sweet. Meanwhile the economy continues downward towards the shitter, and the Dow dropped another 445 points yesterday...7500 and heading towards 5000. IMO, we are going to pass Recession and head straight into a major 1930 style Depression....disagree is you wish, and I hope and pray you are right.

Hate E-Mail.....

For the 1st year of this blog, I seldom talked about politics...I left no doubt I was right of center, pretty far right. I also made it clear that although I served in Vietnam and supported our troops and war efforts, that I did not have much use for the military while serving, and I did not believe our troops should be dying for a bunch of Christian hating and women abusing Islamics in the Middle East...I also enjoy a beer or 3, especially in the summer, and during that same time, I smoke quality cigars..... so it is amazing that these things can turn one into being called a chain smoking, Bush loving. Military hooked, racist f*ckhead.

After my "buddy" and fellow AF SP Charley sent his "love" last week, I get another love letter via e-mail from some arse I don't even get a name from yesterday...more fun!
I had received a e-mail from my buddy "Cookie"

Cookie is a retired Law Enforcement guy and an old Seabee from the Vietnam War era. I visit his blog most days and we get along fine....yesterday we exchanged e-mails concerning the flood of businesses laying off or closing right after the holiday season. The e-mails contained a list of those receiving the mail BCC: It appears than one so-called "enlightened Vietnam Vet" and Obama supporter was on the list...it appears he doesn't like fellow military vets, especially if they support our troops, smoke, and don't like Socialism.

Here is an example of his love and respect for a fellow American/Veteran/human being:

"You're just another of those dumbf**k military assholes who f**king lives in the past"
-------------
Ignorant C**kSucker...the only right stance is yours, according to you. Go be a f**king hero somewhere else. Maybe you could go to the Mideast and get us out of there. They could put you in charge and call you "General F**king Nuisance" {have to admit that last line was pretty funny}
---------------------
"This coming form some ignorant asshole that doesn't have the brains to quit smoking, probably because he thinks it's a left wing plot" {Yep those damn 25-30 cigars a year are a killer}.

Foul mouth litte bugger, ain't he?--and I left out some real crude stuff...

Anyway this is just an example of more love from someone on the brain dead left...a so called Vietnam Vet no less...my guess is Mr. Ram here spent his entire tour, "servicing" superiors under their or his desk, if his sorry ass really ever served.

There is more, but why bother...Cookie says this moron just got out of the hospital...I figure a lobotomy was in order...he continued to write and send me cheesecake photos of "Hanoi" Jane Fonda in her early years....guess he figures I would care and rant on about Old Lady Jane....I finally put this clown in the trash bin of my e-mail files....but it was fun while it lasted. This is just another example of the hate from the left...now that they think their man and his brown shirts are in charge...these a-holes don't have a clue what is coming their way.

Anyway, that is how my Friday started off...gotta be up hill from here. Basketball at Fort Loramie tonight...the final scrimmages end early next week, the on to the real games from there on.

Have a great weekend all.....except Ramrod{or whatever the Hell his name is} he can wallow in his own misery....I don't have the time.

photos-Reagan, after her "appointment", looking a little worn out{not to mention cold}. Grand Lake, not yet frozen...but the dusting of snow does not look all that inviting for a dip in the pond. And finally the GOOD NEWS...the Gas Prices are dropping like a stone in Grand Lake.

Glenn Beck smokes Stephen King at #1

This weeks Best Seller list of Fiction Books shows Conservative talk host Glenn Beck topping the list at #1 with his fact based life story "The Christmas Sweater".

Beck the #3 rated radio talk show host in America has recently announced the move of his Cable TV spot from CNN Headline News to the more right friendly Fox News coming in January. Beck will host the 5-6PM hour Monday-Friday on Fox.

A couple of years ago, left wing horror writer Stephen King called Beck "the mentally challenged younger brother of Satan". Now who would know Satan better than the Maine Nutjob King? I have to admit, I have read the writings of both Beck(his non-fiction works) and King. I enjoy both authors...but my politics are more in line with Beck, rather than the New England lefty blue blood, King.

On a recent show Beck discovered that his book and King's newest collections of short stories, "Just After Sunset", would be released on the same day....Glenn at that time believed he had no shot at topping King...but hoped he could stay close, just to drive King nuts....well, he did more than that...Beck started out as #1 on the new bestseller list with the NY Times and nationwide...while King came in #2. Stephen King cannot be happy with the first time Fiction writer and his nemesis, Glenn Beck, topping him the first week.

Beck has been successful as a non fiction writer, radio talk show host, and coming up next, look for the 5PM Fox News slot to become top rated. Beck has been on top of the economy story for a couple of years now....his critics called him a scare monger{and of course the usual racist, bigot, hater of queers and Muslims for years} for his economic and other views....it appears that Beck has been right on target...far ahead of Rush, and O'Reilly, when it comes to the economic meltdown. It now appears he has come out ahead of Crazy Steve King, when it comes to the New Best Seller list.

Way to go Glenn! Congratulations.......

Beck's Radio Program can be heard on many AM stations from 9 to Noon Eastern Time....his Fox News Cable slot will be featured coming in January from 5 to 6PM....if you are right of center or even middle of the road, he is worth a listen...if you are left of center? Forget it, your hate filled brain can't handle the truth.

Beck's "Christmas Sweater" tour is barn storming around the country over the Holiday Season...details on his web site.

Change, What Change?

"The President-Elect" aka "The Ebony Messiah" yapped about 'change' being the need for his sorry butt to be elected to the highest office in the land....well, I see Barry Obama's "Change" contains at least 4 Has-Beens from the Clinton years......

First off the ever-so-lovely Hillzilla Rodem' Klinton as Secretary of State....if the Clintons can sweep enough dirt under the rug from Bubba's Impeached Presidency to still make their millions and "service" his friends in the Muslim/Oil world.

Then we have Eric Holder, a "minority" appointment for BHO...Holder of course has a couple of issues from his days at the Clinton White House.....the taking at gunpoint of one Elian Gonzalez, 6 years old a refugee from Cuba, from his relatives home, by Clinton thugs from the ATF. Oh' and Holder was also responsible in part of freeing Billionaire Mark Rich, the multi millionaire tax crook...he OKed Bill Clinton's Pardon of Rich on Bubba's last day in office.

Then we head on over to the Chief of Staff of the incoming Barack Insane Obama Administration...that being one Rahm Emanuel...another partisan holdover from the Clinton days....not a crook as far as I know, but a die-hard DNC insider, not exactly the vessel of change.

And today's great news!!!!!! Drum Roll Please---Tom "The Weasel" Dashel, former Senate Leader from the state of South Dakota....seems this little 5' 6" rat has been bidding time waiting for someone to call....and Obama has picked up the phone, and Little Tommy has accepted the job of Housing Secretary.....nice! {correction for my bud Buck...Lil' Tommy gets the Health and Human Services, not HUD}

So Obama fans....how's that change working?

As the good news continues....the DOW is down 415 points at 3:45PM Eastern Time.... and the bottom line says..."at the Bell the DOW Falls 427 points and ends at 7998, the first time below 8000 since March of 2003....and the ride towards the bottom continues.

It just keeps getting better{for us Conservative fun loving bloggers anyway, not so much for working Americans}.

Back from the Break

After 4 days in Wisconsin, we returned late yesterday, just in time to take the State Basketball Officiating tests...then on to Dartball at the church.

I have to say, no internet over the period, was not all that bad....my father-in-law has Internet access...but I choose to stay away for the duration of the "rest".....after a fish fry(Wisconsin's Friday Fish Frys are like nothing else) the first night there, I pretty much "holed up" in the condo for the rest of the weekend. I had maybe a 6 pack of beer, and a couple glasses of wine, over the stay. After the Friday night out, Bill's wife Bev fixed a Thanksgiving Day dinner on Saturday, where we were joined by Patricia's older brother Bill...her younger brother Dave and family had been with us on Friday.

Saturday and Sunday saw some movies on DVD and watching a few football games...that was it, Patricia visited and shopped with her sister, went to church with her dad, but I pretty much chilled out and vegetated.

Yesterday we got up early and we headed out...driving east on I-94 to 894 around Chicago via the Tollway....the "early Thanksgiving" worked, as the traffic around the Windy City was bearable both up and back to Ohio....we hit some snow flurries, and overnight it snowed a bit(you can see from the roof photo) at home....winter is in the air.

After arriving home, we unpacked, I hit the shower, then drove to Rockford, and met Sam and a half dozen others for our 2 hours of testing. We all came through AOK...my scores were 93 and 89 out of 100 questions respectively on both the Rules and Officials Manuals.....Sam passed with much the same scores, and we are both now licensed in 3 sports each....Baseball, Football, and now Basketball. Tonight and tomorrow, we have scrimmages at Parkway then Celina.....and Basketball season begins this weekend...except for the teams left in Football. Those locally include Marion Local the defending State 5 Champions...and league rival Delphos St John in D-6....defending state Champions Coldwater in D-4 were knocked off by Kettering Alter over the weekend 31-21, as the Knights avenged a 3 OT loss to the Cavs last season, when Coldwater went on to win the State Title in Division 4.

Take the Intrepid in tomorrow for a look at a leak(either an internal hose or radiator problem)...then slowly work my way back to "normal".

Taking a Break... Basketball Tonight

Over the past 20 years or so, we have made it an annual trek to Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, to see Patricia's dad and his wife. They lived along one of the lakes between Oconomowoc and Delefield for many years, and we would stay at the ranch for a few days....once a year over Thanksgiving, and once usually during the summer months. Bill and Bev sold the house a few years ago, and moved nearer to town, buying a nice 55+ Condo. Patricia and Anissa usually go up for a week in June, and the rest of us would head up over Thanksgiving. This year it will just the 3 of us. Sam has basketball and classes on Monday, he will take care of the animals and house. Hal is teaching this week at Fairborn High School....and will opt out of this trip.

If you have ever driven through the Chicago area....you know it is one of the worst highway systems in America, bar none....Over any Holiday period it is much worse. So this year we have decided to avoid the Thanksgiving traffic. We will head out in the morning, and return to Celina on Monday...just in time for me to take my OHSAA Basketball Test.

Speaking of basketball...tonight I get my first taste of real basketball, driving to Columbus Grove for a JV High School scrimmage. The regular season starts up in a couple of weeks, so I need all the roundball action I can handle before that happens...tonight it begins.

While in Wisconsin, I have access to the Internet, but usually stay as far away from it as possible....a cleansing of the mind, so to speak. So no Internet...just some studying for the upcoming test, a glass or 2 of Brandy, good food, and some football watching....I shall return, God willing, early next week.

Civilian Conservation Corps-1938

As we watch the American Economy spiral downward towards a 1930-style Depression, I have at times asked those in the know, what things were like in rural Ohio back in that time...not the BS they teach you in College and University Classes, but what it was really like from those that lived it...my ancestors. There are not a lot of those left. Mom is still in good mind and spirits at 84, but for the most part the others have passed on.

Mom lived on the east coast, in Wilmington, Delaware, during the Depression....and has told us family stories from that time. Dad lived in Scott, Ohio, not far from here, and those stories are gone...except for a few letters and family post cards I have in my possession.

Stan Houseworth was born in Scott, during the last month of 1917....his father Sam had passed away by the time the Great Depression struck, and dad was raised by his mother Wilda, with help from a couple older sisters....he also had two older brothers. The old man joined the Army Air Corps in 1941, and served his country during WW2 as a mechanic...he lucked out and spent the entire war on home turf....he did manage to lose parts of a couple of of fingers on his right hand while at Lowry Field near Denver, while working on a train hitch, the two cars closed, and his fingers didn't get out in time....something he would get a small pension for later after his discharge. He also was stationed at New Castle, Delaware, where he met mom, and finally at Mather Field in northern California.

Before he joined the military for the war, he was part of another corps. The one installed by FDR to put young men without jobs and too young for military service to work. The Civilian Conservation Corps. Franklin Roosevelt created the corps 75 years ago during his first year as President. It would remain until the war was in full mode in 1942. The CCC was created to put thousands of young men, without jobs, to work helping protect and refusbish environmental concerns, mostly in the western US. It's legacy lives today:

Dad joined the CCC at Fort Knox, Kentucky, on January 16, 1938. He worked but a few short months, until April 18, 1938...leaving to accept work, back home...or at least that's what his discharge papers say{photos above and right}. Now, I know he didn't join the Army Air Force until late 1941 at the onset of the war...so what he went back to Scott to do, I will never know.

He spent his entire tour of duty at Camp -BR 27 working with Company 538 near Rupert, Idaho. His pay was $1.50 a day...he was "mustered" another buck fifty that was sent on to Scott ahead of him.

I had heard him talk about his time in Idaho before he passed away in 1972....and from what I remember, he enjoyed the chance to work outdoors...his discharge said he was 'satisfactory' at his job, which was laying rip-rap. His barracks at Lake Minidoka, Idaho, ended up being a prisoner detention camp from 1942-1946.

I wonder if our new "Messiah" Barack Hussain Obama will come forth with similar schemes to put youngsters to work when our new Depression strikes? Time will tell I guess....I wonder also, if today's youth will be able to actually do physical labor....I seriously have my doubts about most of them.

Veterans Day 2008

A salute to my fellow Veterans on this their day{even you Charles McCauley}.
I was out to the Dog Vet this morning, taking Reagan the Airedale out for her monthly allergy injection....while driving the Jeep back to the house, a middle age lady pulled up on the passenger side, looked at Reagan and shouted through rolled down window...."Happy Veterans Day, thanks for your service"....I waved back and hollered "You're Welcome" through the plastic rag top window.

I get that on occasion, with the Vietnam Veteran plates on the Wrangler...on a rare occasion I get the "thumbs up" for our service.

Veterans Day, like Columbus Day, has taken a back seat in recent years, even Washington and Lincoln's Birthdays have morphed into a single day....no more important than a 1960s street protest organizer, getting a day of his own. What next? July 4th? Memorial Day? Not to sound bitter, at least Veterans Day is still celebrated on the 11th of November...it has not yet, been moved to the nearest Friday or Monday....but I doubt if most know the difference between Memorial and Veteran Days.
Anyway....enjoy it fellow Vets. I am setting home, with Anissa{no work shop today}, Sam{no Ohio State classes today}, and the dog and cat....sorry to say, Patricia, with a nasty cold, still drove over to St. Henry...no day off for the school kids. I do plan on downing a Sam Adams or 2 later on tonight, just to celebrate the forefathers of the nation....enjoy one and all, and Salute to my fellow Veterans.

"Love" from a fellow Sky Cop Charley McCauley

I will have to admit that I like to "stir the pot" on occasions....well, almost all the time. Doing so gets me into cyber hot water on occasion, and I guess it pisses off a few people. I always enjoy the sometimes hate filled back and forth that go on some blogs....whether it be in the comment section of other blogs/sites, or just in general.

On this blog, since it has gotten somewhat more political over the last few months...some of my visitors have agreed with my political postings, some some-what agree, a few disagree, and on occasion I get some pretty hate-filled stuff...albeit not often. Usually I just click the delete button...Hell, it's not like I am anonymous, so these folks that hate what I have to say need to be men(or women) about what I say and actually give me their name and situation....some don't, some do.... "Charley McCauley" is one such insect that did:(although I did have to search our group's files to find his e-mail) "Sorry Charley"

Commenting on my November 6th post following the Election of Obama as Prez....I basically made light of The Messiah's followers being Kool-Aid Drinkers....now how that makes me a "racist fuckwad" is beyond me....here is what Charley had to say........

"Too bad for you you racist fuckwad. Like it or not Obama won over twice the electoral votes that McCain won so you better get used to it or shoot yourself. Preferably the latter because the world is better off without assholes like you."

{signed}
Charley McCauley
327th SPS NTAB RVN
1970-71

I gave Charley a big thumbs up for his comments, but did have a question or 2 for him.

Basically I asked(plus few other friendly comments) Charley to stop back and tell me where he really served and who he really was....seems "Charley" didn't hve the guts to leave an e-mail address or homepage. Well Hell though, I checked out my own VSPA site and found out Charley McCauley was really who he said he was....someone who had served in the 327th Combat Support Group TDY(Temporary Duty) as a Sky Cop...after the 14th had left...and here this asshole was, a fellow member of the VSPA calling me out....some band of brothers indeed!

I e-mailed Ol' Charley this morning..thanking him for stopping by the blog, and thanking him for his kind words to a fellow sky cop.....now, if only I get the chance to meet him in person.

In retrospect, I checked back on the November 6th post and challenge anyone to find anything "Racist" about it.....I guess in Charley's warped mind, if you dislike someone who happens to be black, or half black, because of his politics, you must be a racist.

Sorry Charley, that doesn't wash{I disliked Clinton, Kerry, and Gore just as much as Barack}....but maybe you should wash your mouth out with soap. But I do look forward to meeting you in person some day.

Sunday Morning Wake Up Call

Sunday Morning around 4:45. Watching the replay of the Notre Damn-Boston College football game on ESPN. Don't have a clue, or really care who won, but at the point in the 3rd quarter, BC is up 17-0 and have just blocked a field goal by the Irish, so I guess the Eagles won. I could flip a button and see the final in Yahoo Sports, but what fun would that be? Anyway a ND loss would be about the only bad news my Irish Catholic side of the family, lead by my Uncle Jack, have received of late...being Phillie fans, they are still celebrating the World Series win, and being misguided union loving Democrats, they are still pissing themselves in joy over Barry Obama being elected President....so you can see why I don't hang around with that bunch much...good people, but needless to say any political talk does not end well.

Speaking of Philadelphia and politics...I got this little ditty in my e-mail last night...it was written by Tom Adkins, the publisher of CommonConservative.com....and also published on philly.com through the left wing Marxist rag, The Philadelphia Inquire:

As I have said many times...I have no white guilt, so this doesn't apply to me, but for any liberal assclowns out there still stuck with a touch of it, read this and set yourselves free:

White Guilt? Done; over; history
by Tom Adkins
------------------------

There go my fellow conservatives, glumly shuffling along, depressed by the election aftermath. Not me. I'm virtually euphoric. Don't get me wrong, I'm not thrilled with America's flirtation with neo-socialism. But there's a massive silver lining in the magical clouds that lofted Barack Obama to the presidency. For today, without a shred of intellectually legitimate opposition, I can loudly proclaim to America:

The Era of White Guilt Is Over!

This seemingly impossible event occurred because the vast majority of white Americans didn't give a fluff about skin color and enthusiastically pulled the The election of Barack Obama destroys the valid voting lever for a black man{well at least half black}*. Not just any black man. A very liberal black man who spent his early career race-hustling banks, praying in a racist church for 20 years, and actively working with American-hating domestic terrorists. Yet white Americans made Barack Obama their leader. Therefore as of November 4, 2008, white guilt is dead.

So today, I'm feeling a little "uppity", if you will. For more than a century, the millstone of white guilt hung around our necks, retribution for slave-owning predecessors. In the 1960s, American liberals began yanking that millstone while sticking a finger in the eye of black Americans, exacerbating the racial divide to extort a socialist solution to the country's problems. But if a black man can become president, exactly what significant barrier is left? The election of Barack Obama destroys the validation of liberal white guilt. The dragon is hereby slain.

So today, I'm feeling a little "uppity", if you will. From this day forward, my tolerance level for having my skin color hustled is exactly ZERO. No more Rev. Jeremiah Wright's "God Damn America", Al Sharpton Church of Perpetual Victimization, or Jesse Jackson's rainbow racism. Cornel West? You're a fraud. All those 'black studies" programs mush now teach kids to thank Whitey. And I want that on the final.

Congressional Black Caucus? Irrelevant. U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters(D-CA)? SHUT UP! ACORN? Outlawed. Black Panthers? Go home and pet your kitty. Black separatists? Find another nation that offers better dreams. To those Eurosnots who forged careers hating America? I'm still waiting for the first Black French President.

No more quotas. No more handouts. No more complaining that "the man" is keeping you down. "The Man" is now black.

It's time to toss that massive, obsolete race-hustling machine upon the heap of the other stupid 60s ideas. Drag it over there, right between free love and cop-killing. Careful, don't trip on streaking. Just dump it. And then wash your hands. It's filthy.

Obama's ascension also creates another gargantuan irony. How can liberals sell American racism, class envy, and unfairness when our new black president and his wife went to Ivy League schools, got high-paying jobs, became millionaires, bought a mansion, and are now moving to the White House? How unfair is that? Now, like a delicious O. Henry tale, Obama's spread the wealth campaign rendered itself moot by it's own victory! American is officially a meritocracy. Obama's election has validated American conservatism.

So...Wham!!!

That's the sound of my foot kicking the door shut on the era of white guilt. The rites have been muttered, the carcass lowered, dirt shoveled, and tombstone erected. Dead and buried.
-----------------
---
Thank you Tom for saying what many have felt....probably the only disagreement I have with the writing is this...The vast Majority of White Americans did not vote for Barack Hussain Obama...more like 43%...and only 4 in 10 men{those voting for Obama really aren't men, are they?}

{}*my addition................

Have a good Sunday folks, pray, head to church, if you choose, and enjoy the day....72 days until Emperor Obama takes the throne....let's hope the Tombstone above is wrong, but keep your powder dry just in case.

Which Way do I go From Here?

The election is passed and here I sit...somewhere between basketball season and winter. I've already put together a pretty full schedule of Jr High, JV, and Freshman Basketball games for my first season of round ball. That will take me within a month of baseball season, starting the end of March. My question, to myself, is...Where do I go from here?

Approaching 60(next March), I would rather not devote myself to going out and re-entering the daily grind, but RV Driving is pretty much in the tank...the runs will be few and far between, for the foreseeable future. Sure I could do some other "work" for $8 or $10 bucks an hour for cigar and Drambuie money...but, what the Hell? I really like this slant to life, although I'm not sure my wife agrees...she appreciates my helping out around the house, doing "busy" work and stuff like that, but I get the feeling she thinks I spend too much time around the house, and on the computer for my own good. Mine you, she doesn't complain or point fingers, I just think she would like to be "retire" as well...but she has at least 9 or 10 years to go. As for me, my immediate plans include finding something to do in addition to my Officiating Work....they way it looks, if my back and mind hold up, I will be doing 75-80 baseball games, 40 football games, and about 30 basketball games per season...somewhere around 150 games a year...not bad for an old fart. If things work out, I will also have the opportunity to run down to Cocoa Beach in early January and again in mid-February, and umpire 18 and under baseball tournaments for teams from around the country. Will have details and let you know more later.

The "Which Way to I go from Here" also applies to this blog...I've tried to make it about current events, both in and out of my life{pretty damn boring stuff at times}, and looking at the past. Well so much of both can go only so far....so, what next? Do I go 80% current events opinions, or do I try to keep the status quot, and go back to looking at the past, 50% of the time? Something I will figure out as time goes by...the blog will continue, as long as I can look at it, and decide that at least 1 person besides me, finds it worthwhile.

-------------------------
Yesterday, Reagan the Airedale and I spent outside...kicking the ball for awhile, then work needed done. I spent 2 hours or so ripping, cutting, chain sawing, the thick overgrown Ivy on the kennel...since Jack(Reagan's Dad) died in September 2007, the kennel area has not gotten much use, and the Ivy had taken charge...after dispatching that, I took on the garage...and an hour later, I was spent. Drank 2 beers, and fired up a cigar, showered and was relaxing with a sore back by the time Patricia returned home from work. The back still feels it this morning, so I will forgo the treadmill walk, and the weight lifting for today, although I may get off my ass and walk the town a little later on.

Enjoy the Day!

back later...........

-----------------

photos-top left--after 5 straight days of sunshine and 70 something, today dawned cloudy, a more like "The Skies of November Turned Cloudy" type day./The Kennel overgrown and the Kennel sans the Ivy, since we no longer have an "outdoor" dog, I'm not sure what to do with this next....

The Aftermath

OK, time to clean up the blog of the political mess it has become. First off, let me say I now know why I moved back to this area in 1980 after being gone for the most part since my Air Force days. I sometimes wonder why, but after reviewing the election results from Tuesday, I have the answer...most of these people think much like me, not as far right, but with basically the same mindset on what is best for the State of Ohio and the country.

The final election Results:
Barack Hussain Obama won Ohio with 51% John McCain 47%, however, McCain won 67 of Ohio's 88 Counties....take a wild guess of the political makeup of the individual counties?

Mercer County(where I live)
McCain 14,730 72%
Obama 5,636 27%
-----------------------
Auglaize County(our Lake neighbors to the east)
McCain 16,000 71%
Obama 6,500 28%
-------------------
Van Wert County(northern border county where I was born and worked for many years}
McCain 9000 62.5%
Obama 5000 35%
__________________
I have to admit I was a little disappointed in Van Wert, the county with the largest % of GOP voters in the area.

We also, just to avoid looking like hate filled Right Wingers, passed all the tax levies on the ballots.

So there you have it...West Central Ohio did it's job, too bad the city slums and ACORN did their jobs better...but that's the way it goes.

I have seen other blogs, some saying that even though they didn't vote for the man, Obama is their President, and they will support him. Sorry I cannot say the same. The guy is a Marxist, an abortion on demand at any time supporter, and has no vision for the country that I share. He may be the person elected by 51% of the voters, but I'll give him the same respect(lack of) that the left has given George Bush the past 8 years....that would be ZERO.

But it's time to move on to other things, the political and economic woes will work themselves in the directions that they are destined. I'll keep my powder dry.
-----------------------
Clinging on to Summer

OK, that's it for politics for this post...one big day of summer type weather left. Today in the low 70s, with storms and rain in the forecast for tonight...then back to falling temps and some wet, windy, weather in the next week or so, starting tomorrow.

The past 2 days, I have taken advantage of the weather and mowed my yard Tuesday, and mom's yesterday. Today I will tackle the overgrown Ivy in the Dog Kennel area and fence. Then if time remains(getting dark at 5:30 these days), I will go at the garage and sweep and clean it out for winter.

That's it, back to the non political boring life of the semi-retired.....with that I will give one final salute{ middle finger blocked out for PC reasons} to Barack Hussain Obama---have fun son, you wanted to save the world from America, rob from the middle class and give to the freeloaders, have at it...some of us won't go along with your plans without a fight. Drink Up Kiddies Indeed!

Post Election Hangover(and) Some Good News

The pollsters got it pretty close. Looks like "The Ebony Messiah" wins by 5 or so % and with somewhere in the 350 Electoral Vote range.

As I've said and heard it many a time...."when the worst happens, it doesn't always seem that bad" I saw that line uttered in the 1948 movie with Bogart and Tim Holt "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre"...and it rings true this morning. I really cannot imagine a worse person and ideology put forth by the Democrats. Now to be fair, John or Juan McCain was never my choice, but the distrust and utter dislike I have for Obama, swung my vote his(McCain's) way. Add to the fact that George Bush has been a disaster since his good work post 9/11. The country, pulled left by the Main Street Media, with large minority and youth percentages voting for Barack Hussain Obama, has steered into dangerous waters. As for myself, nearing 60, I'm not all that worried, pissed off? Yes, worried? No.

There is good news on this post election day. It appears the Senate gains by the Democrats will not reach 60 seats in the Senate, Hell even Ted Stevens, recently convicted as a felon, won in Alaska...although he may not serve..Sarah Palin, Senator from Alaska? Perhaps..time will tell. It appears Saturday Night Live idiot Al Franken will lose a close race in Minnesota to incumbent Norm Coleman...only 750 votes out of 2.5 million, who says "your vote" doesn't count.

In the House the liberal Marxists(Democrats) will pick up between a dozen and 15 seats...far less than the 30 predicted. In some good news for Christians and folks with a moral fiber in the body, the perverts in California, Arizona, and Florida, lost on making(keep in California's case) queer marriage "normal" and legal. Trust me, I could care less what these folks do in their homes, but saying it's "normal" is pure BS. It's not, and you can slice that anyway you want.

So, we will move on towards January, slouching towards Gomorrah. Is this the end of America as we know it? Perhaps, although I have not given up total hope. Make no mistake an Obama Presidency is going to be a disaster, the economy and tax policies are in deep trouble. The GOP needs to make up it's mind...Left, Right, or Center. True Social, Guns and God, Conservatives need to decide whether the GOP is the "right" party, or do we need to move on to another 3rd party, such as the Constitution Party?:

Either way, time will move on, and without a doubt the next election cycle will begin in weeks, rather than months or years.

62,000,000 folks supported a Socialist/Marxist for President last night---56,000,000 million voted for a RINO, John McCain, because they knew that Obama will be much worse-Where next Conservatives? It is truly time to "move on"?--(photo)-McCain is toast, is the GOP? Perhaps, and that may be a good thing. As I mentioned yesterday, I almost voted for Chuck Baldwin(he ended up with just over 10,000 votes in Ohio), I didn't, I voted for McCain, I will now continue to fill the basement with food and goods, stock up on Ammo, and see what the leftist winds blow my way.

Election 2008

7:25AM....

The weather has dawned hazy and warm for November 4, 2008. Warm by being 55 degrees as the sun comes up, headed for a high somewhere in the low 70s with plenty of sun. I cannot remember a fall voting day being this nice weather wise.

Patricia and Sam have already voted, before they headed off to St. Henry Elementary and Ohio State-Lima, respectively. I'll shower, take my time, and head out to the Galleria Shopping Complex...the Mercer County Board of Elections in all their (lack of) wisdom have shoved the entire voting population into one building.

At last count Mercer County, Ohio, voting wise, was broken down like this(although I find it hard to believe we have this many "independents".

GOP Voters: 7500
Dem Voters: 6600
Indy Voters: 13,300

So we have as many independents as we do party voters....regardless of what happens nationwide or in the State of Ohio, Mercer County will go for John McCain, by a large margin. Even German Catholics who call themselves Democrats, won't vote for a Abortion on Demand Liberal...they never have, never will. Those voting for Obama in this county, basically consists of White Trash and mind numbed children in their 20s. The rest voting for "The Messiah" include our small % of minority voters, and a few left over union workers, from our long gone USW industries, throw in a few former politicians who feel superior and "enlightened", and Barrry Soetoro Obama might grab 35% of the vote, in our far west central Ohio Country....even less to the north(Van Wert), and east(Auglaize), will cast their votes for Barack.

OK....off to shower, then to do my patriotic duty. (bullshit, if you aren't smart or informed enough to know what or whom is on the ballot, don't vote!} Details when I return.

------------------------------

10AM:

Arrived at the Galleria to vote at 8:15 was out of there by 8:30...would have been quicker if not for the 2 brain impaired fools in front of me at the Precinct G table....obviously Obama supporters. These bozos had no clue to where they were to vote, I'm not sure they knew where the Hell they lived... The new digs, which puts everybody from Celina into one space, seems pretty lame...but I won't go into details, because after all, I was out of there in 15 minutes.

So, it is done! I was almost moved to cast my ballot for Chuck Baldwin and the Constitution Party...but blacked out the McCain/Palin box instead. I won't be a part of giving the state to a Marxist from Chicago. Make no mistake, I believe Obama will be President-Elect come tomorrow morning...probably with 300+ Electoral Votes and about 50% of the popular vote, with McCain getting about 47%. Just my wild hair of a guess.

I've stated my concern about a Obama Presidency with a large majority of liberal asswipes in charge of Congress....the next 2(at least) years will not be pretty. Especially if you have your head firmly up your ass, and are not ready for the coming "Change". I saw dozens in our small rural city at the polls this morning, that fit the description of clueless Obama voters. Anything tougher than this week's "Dancing with the Stars" , or "Hey, Brady Quinn, is the new Browns QB", is beyond their train of thought....yep, gotta be Barry Obama voters!

"God Save the Republic" Although we sure don't deserve it.

So, get your butt out and vote, then sit back and watch the coming "Change"...stock your pantry, and make sure your supply of necessary ammo for your hardware is ample.

top left-the cute little stickers we get, from out criminal Secretary of State, the broad in bed with ACORN. The full parking lot at Voting Central at 8AM....and the doorway to the Galleria, looking emply, but trust me, the voting area inside, like the parking lot outside, was full.

24 Hours until D-Day

Early riser this morning, up at 4AM as daughter Anissa usually an early riser, was ready to go...lucky for me I hit the sack early last night as well, thus enabling Patricia to get some shut eye before Monday at school. Basketball Classes tonight, then off to the opening of Dartball season at the Church. Sam and I both will show up late for the next several weeks due to the classes in Rockford.

Our little touch of "Indian Summer" will continue through election day and probably beyond tomorrow until at least Wednesday....yesterday was rather cloudy, but in the mid 60s so I spent much of the day outside with Anissa and Reagan, our aging Airedale, I enjoyed the final days of cigar season by firing up a good smoke{Indian Tabac} and having a quality seasonal beer. I hadn't touched alcohol since coming back from the Salmon fishing trip to Michigan last weekend...figured I needed a drying out period, and chance to get my BP down a few notches...yesterday however, I felt the lure of cigar smoke and a fall brew made by Blue Moon called "Harvest Moon", a Pumpkin based late fall beer, one usually on the shelf until January.

Election Day is Tomorrow!
____________

Tomorrow the 3 of us, Sam, Patricia, and yours truly, will head across town to a new voting place, and place our meager votes down{Hal already voted absentee when home last week from Dayton}. As far as I know, we will all vote for McCain, far from my first choice months ago, but considering the alternative, I can at least plan on buying in a few months a "Don't Blame me I voted for McCain" bumper sticker...in anticipation of the absolute disaster a President Obama will bring to the country.

In other races and issues, I will vote as I usually do, ignore the uncontested races unless somebody I know or like is running unopposed. I will vote for 1 token Democrat, my CPA and tax man Rick Mosier, against the incumbent, for Mercer County Treasure....Then as far as the Issues? Really have not studied them much{if it involves tax increases I vote NO 100% of the time, unless it's for Mental Retardation or Senior Citizen levies}...However Issue 6 in Ohio is for the right to open a Casino in Ohio, I probably would not care normally, and really don't. But since our NAMBLA supporting pervert of a Governor Ted "The Head' Strickland says vote no, and the local rag "The Daily Worker, er Standard" says no....I will be voting YES...bring on the damn Casino, just to piss off the usual suspects, Left Wing Political hacks and the Media. Then on Issue 5, a NO vote is really a yes vote? A YES vote on 5 says keep restrictions on Pay Day lenders...I'll be voting YES, if for no other reason than my white trash hillbilly neighbors, who have Obama signs in their yard, also have NO on Issue 5 signs.....so, YEP, I'll be voting YES on Issue 5....

So tomorrow will come, Obama in all probability will be elected President, the usual cities will see their inner city celebrations{i.e. riots} win or lose...they will be called one for an Obama win, another for an Obama loss. I suspect to see a deep drop in the Stock Markets this week, and a large increase in Gun and Ammo sales......but it's not all doom and gloom, we live in interesting times, and so did our ancestors, one called "The Great Depression"...Are times about to repeat themselves?

Stay Tuned! We will all find out together........

Photos-Top Left, me and my leg enjoying a cold Harvest Moon and Indian Tabac on the back stoops.....as the radio blares the winless Bengals about to become "un" winless by defeating Jacksonville 21-19. And Patricia's last flowers in the back yard Garden hang on for a few more days....70s for the next 3 days, so they say....then back to fall.
