The Stack is no more!

Dartball last night, we take all 3 for the 2nd time this season against Bethany United...too bad we can't have this record against the rest of the league....to come from behind wins in the final games to sweep....7-0, 6-5 in 10 innings(scoring 3 in the 9th to tie), and 5-2 scoring 3 in the bottom of the 8th to finish them off....I had a decent night, but nothing special, going 6 for 16 with 3 RBIs.

Best news was...in my first games since the epidural, the back pain was not a factor....bothering me this morning? Yes....but last night it held out.

The final blows are going on as I type for the century plus smoke stacks at the Mersman Plant....not sure when or if the water tower will be taken down.....

One would think the demolition would make for a helluva lot of noise, Pat. Is this true? If so, I'll bet you're glad when quitting time comes...

Buck Summer would probably be a pain, but these guys are moving slowly along, and they quit by nightfall....so far it hasn't been much....but the dust if flying everywhere.

Finally gone and left is no evidence of its past importance to the community.

Yep, we have to play when we can and suffer the pain later, but sometimes it's worth it.

Maybe ya' should go over there and snag yourself a wheelbarrow or two of those bricks. May be some good luck in 'em, that ain't ran out yet!

They also might be handy to throw at the NEW owners of the property, as well...!

Hey, glad to hear something's helping the back!

Come to think of it, I wish I could find a source of free old bricks. They'd make a pretty raised bed, or walkway.

Guys: The bricks are there for the taking....probably, I doubt if Rockford Construction cares.....wish I had the time and back to take a few thousand and line the driveway....but I'm sure the City would call them a permanent imporvement and raise my taxes....

Considering it would take about $200 bucks in gas---and 3 lifetimes!---to get there with my old 1-ton Ford, I'm afraid I'll have to pass...!
